“Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul. He will pay back the evil to my enemies; Destroy them in Your faithfulness. Willingly I will sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, Lord, for it is good.” w Psalm 54:4-6 NASB2020
God's faithfulness is helping and sustaining us, paying back evil and destroying our enemy, the Devil/Satan - no longer other nations in light of the New Testament. And this is the basis of our worship and praises unto the Lord. When Christians go through life without seeing God's faithfulness through Jesus Christ, they tend to lack worship and praise to the Lord. Consequently, people's natural outlook tend to lean toward one of these:
1/ Having a "victim mentality," that is, having a mindset where you consistently see yourselves as a victim of circumstances or the actions of others—even when solutions or empowerment is available.
2/ Having a ‘savior mentality’ or rescuer complex, where you feel responsible for fixing other people’s problems—even at your own expense—often coming from a need to feel needed or worthy.
3. / Having a "persecutor mentality," which involves viewing others as inferior, wrong, or responsible for problems. You act aggressively, critically, or harshly to maintain control or superiority.
When you find yourself falling into one of the traps above, read this Psalm again or the whole Book of Psalms or revisit this link https://discord.com/channels/707815449793921034/711770589077045279/799854150888063006 to see if it can be helpful.
