WEEKLY REFLECTION by Pastor Lap Dinh on Psalm‬ ‭108‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭

ree

“My heart is steadfast, God; I will sing, I will sing praises also with my soul. Awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn! I will give thanks to You, Lord, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations. For Your mercy is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the skies. Be exalted above the heavens, God, And may Your glory be above all the earth.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭108‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NASB2020

The steadfastness of our heart in the Lord will lead our soul (mind, will, and emotions) into singing praises unto Him. It wakes us up every morning with thanksgiving for how great God’s mercy is, how far-reaching His truth is, and how exalted and glorious He truly is in all creation.

Now, this posture glues us into the abiding relationship with Jesus Christ, who is our Savior and Lord of our life. When our heart, mind, will, emotions, and strength are steadfast in God, abiding in Jesus, and walking in the Holy Spirit, it leaves no room for sinful thoughts, feelings, activities, or lifestyle. May this be the reality of the people of God, Christ’s followers across the face of the earth. Amen.
